Invite your team

A project is better with the team in it. Here's how to bring people in with the right access from the start.

Steps

  1. Decide the role first. Before inviting, think about what each person should be able to do — full contributor (Member), look-only (Viewer), management (Manager/Admin), or finance-only (Billing). The company roles page lays out exactly what each can do.

  2. Invite by email. Send an invitation to each person's email address and choose their role at the same time. They'll get a secure link to accept and join. (See Invitations & join requests.)

  3. Or approve a request. If someone asks to join your company instead, an admin approves the request and they come in as a member.

  4. Give workspace access. Members, viewers, and guests only see the workspaces they're added to — so add each person to the workspaces (and projects) they need, and nothing more. Owners, admins, and managers see everything automatically.

  5. Check it from their side. Remember that access is enforced everywhere, including the Associate — a viewer's AI can read and answer but never change things. Least privilege keeps everyone in their lane.

Start narrow, widen later

When in doubt, give less access — it's quick to add someone to another workspace or raise their role, and much safer than over-granting and clawing it back.
