Create your first project

By the end of this you'll have a live project, set up either by hand or by the Associate.

Steps

  1. Sign in. Use your magic-link email or your password. If you don't have an account yet, follow the Quick start first — the person who creates the company becomes its owner.

  2. Create a project. Start a new project and give it a name and a short description of what it's for.

  3. Pick how to set it up. You have two paths:

    • Choose a template — the template sets your board's columns and starting structure to fit the kind of work (see Creating a project).
    • Let the Associate set it up — describe the goal and let the AI propose a starting structure for you (covered next in Plan with the Associate).
  4. Look around the project. Open the project to see its tabs — the board, the Gantt & timeline, documents, and comms. It's all here, in one place.

  5. Add your first task. Create a task with a title, a description, and a priority. Not sure how to word it? Use the reword helper to sharpen it.

You're not committing to a big setup

Start small — one project, a couple of tasks. Bluprint grows with you, and the Associate can fill things out later.
