What it can do
The Associate works in a few broad areas. Everything here is something you can ask for in plain language — you don't need to know the names of any commands. Anything that changes your project is staged for your approval first (see Review & approve).
Understand and answer
Ask about anything in your work and it reads the real data to answer:
- Find and summarise tasks, projects, comments, and documents
- Compare documents or ask a question of a specific document
- Check who's active and who's working on what
- Search the web for outside context when a question needs it
- Tell you what's changed since your last visit
Analyse and advise
- Project health checks and risk summaries
- A full project audit in one pass
- Recommend next actions — what to do now
- Surface blocked work and ways to unblock it
Create and update work
- Create a task, or many tasks at once from a brief
- Update tasks, statuses, and priorities (one or in bulk)
- Add subtasks, comments, and milestones
- Assign work to teammates by name or email
- Duplicate or start a task
Plan timelines · Max
Deeper timeline work runs on the Max tier:
- Add and fix dependencies, adjust task dates
- Read the Gantt, summarise the critical path, find timeline risks
- Suggest milestones and propose dependency fixes
- Simulate a capacity plan to see if the team is over-committed
Generate documents · Max
Also on Max, the Associate can produce real files:
- Documents, spreadsheets, and presentations (PDF / XLSX / PPTX)
- Checklists and reports drawn from your project's actual activity
Generated files land in the project's documents, ready to download.
Manage projects
- Create and update projects
- Add or remove project members
See images and video
The Associate can analyse images and video you attach — useful for design reviews, screenshots, or whiteboard photos.
Some abilities depend on your tier and role
Timeline planning and document generation require the Max model. And the Associate only ever does what your role allows — a read-only role gets answers and analysis, not changes. See Permissions & data.
