Talking to the Associate
The Associate lives in a panel on the right side of Bluprint. Open it and just type — the input prompts you to "Ask about projects, tasks, or strategy." It stays open as you move around, so you can keep a train of thought going across pages.
Pick a model tier
Use the model selector to choose Standard (fast) or Max (deep analysis).
Bluprint only shows you the tiers your role allows. You can also switch with
/model standard or /model max.
Slash commands
Type / to see shortcuts. They fall into four groups:
| Command | Does |
|---|---|
/new | Start a fresh conversation |
/compact | Compact the context and keep chatting |
/model standard | max | Switch model tier |
/export | Copy the conversation as markdown |
/audit | Full project health audit |
/status | Quick project status summary |
/blocked | Show blocked tasks and how to unblock them |
/plan goal | Create an execution plan |
/focus timeline | tasks | docs | team | Narrow the Associate's attention |
/tools on | off | Turn actions on, or switch to advice-only |
/verbose · /concise | Longer or shorter responses |
/memory show | save [note] | View or add to what it remembers |
Attach and drag in context
- Attach an image or video and ask the Associate about it (design reviews, screenshots, whiteboard photos).
- Drag a task straight into the chat to talk about it specifically.
While it's working
- The answer streams in, with the reasoning shown as it goes.
- Hit Stop generating any time to cut a response short.
Conversations
Your chats are saved in the history, where you can reopen, rename, or
start a new one. Use /new for a clean slate or /compact to keep going when a
conversation gets long.
Try a shortcut
New to it? Open the sidebar in any project and type /status for an
instant read on where things stand — a good first taste of what the Associate
sees.
