AI & the Associate
What's the difference between the Associate and the AI Helpers?
The Associate is the AI you have a conversation with — ask it to plan, analyse, create, or generate, and it works across your whole project. The AI Helpers are focused, one-click tools that do a single job in place — reword a subtask, review a task, suggest an estimate, summarise a document. The Associate is the brain; the Helpers are quick wins for the whole team.
Is my data used to train AI models?
No. Bluprint's AI runs on infrastructure hosted in Australia on AWS, and your project data is not sent to third-party AI services or used to train external models. The intelligence comes to your data — your data doesn't leave to get it.
Can the AI change my work without my permission?
No. When the Associate wants to make a change, it stages it and shows you exactly what it proposes. Nothing is applied until you accept it — and you can decline or edit first. You can even switch the Associate to advice-only mode. See Review & approve.
What can the Associate actually do?
A lot — reading and answering from your real data, creating and updating tasks, planning timelines (dependencies, critical path), generating documents, and analysing project health. The full list is on What it can do. It always operates within your permissions.
Which AI model does it use? Can I choose?
You can pick between two tiers — Standard (fast, for everyday work) and Max (deeper reasoning, and the tier that can plan timelines and generate documents). Which tiers you can use depends on your role. More on how it works.
Does the AI help non-technical team members?
Yes — that's the point of the AI Helpers. You don't have to learn prompts or open a chat: click "reword" on a rough task and it comes back clear, or upload a document and get an automatic summary. The quality lift reaches the whole team, not just the AI enthusiasts.
