AI & your documents

Storing documents is table stakes. What makes Bluprint's docs different is that the AI can read, understand, and create them — because they live right here with your work.

Ask your documents anything

Every document you add is read and indexed behind the scenes. That lets the Associate answer questions straight from your documents' contents — not by guessing, but by pulling the relevant passages:

  • Ask a question of a document and get an answer grounded in what it actually says
  • Search across a project's documents to find the right one
  • Compare two documents to spot differences

So instead of opening a 40-page PDF to find one clause, you just ask.

Automatic summaries

When you upload a document, Bluprint summarises it automatically — a short overview, a document-type classification, key topics, and suggested tags — so a file is understandable the moment it lands. This is covered in AI Helpers · Document summaries.

The Associate creates documents

The Associate doesn't just read documents — it writes them. Ask it to produce a document and it generates a real file for you:

  • Documents, spreadsheets, and presentations (PDF, XLSX, PPTX)
  • Checklists and reports, drawn from your project's actual data

Generated files are saved straight into the project's documents, marked as AI-generated, ready to download or share — no copy-pasting out of a chat.

Built on your real data

Because the Associate works from your project and documents, what it writes reflects your project — a status report uses your real tasks and progress, not a generic template. Document generation runs on the Max tier.

Ask the Associate

Try: "summarise the requirements doc and draft a one-page project brief from it." It reads the source, writes the brief, and files it in your documents.
