Companies
A company is the top of the structure and the boundary your organisation's data lives inside. In multi-tenant terms, your company is your tenant.
Your own isolated data
Each company's data is kept in its own dedicated store, separate from every other company on Bluprint. Your projects, tasks, documents, and people are walled off from other organisations — there's no shared pool. Combined with Australian-hosted infrastructure, this is what keeps your information private and compliant.
The owner
Whoever creates a company is its owner. The owner sits at the top of the role hierarchy with full control, and every company has one. Ownership is the anchor for billing and the company's highest level of access.
Company-wide security
A company has security settings that apply to everyone in it, so an organisation can enforce its own standards:
| Setting | What it controls |
|---|---|
| Two-factor authentication | Require 2FA for all users in the company. |
| Password policy | Minimum length and complexity — whether passwords must include uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols. |
| Session timeout | How long a session can stay idle before sign-in is required again. |
These are set once at the company level and apply across every workspace and project.
One company per membership
A user holds one membership per company, with a single role in it. How people belong to more than one level — company and workspace — is covered in Members & access.
